Middle East Travel Advice

The escalating conflict in the Middle East is causing significant travel disruption, but we’re continuing to closely monitor the situation and the latest advice from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Your safety and well-being are our top priority.

Current FCDO advice

The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain due to heightened regional tensions and airspace restrictions.

If you’re currently in the UAE or Qatar

If you’re already in the region, please follow local guidance, remain in your accommodation when advised and avoid any non-essential travel. Our teams are in regular contact with partners on the ground and monitoring the situation closely.

If you had plans to travel to or via the Middle East

If you were due to travel to an affected destination or were transiting via Middle Eastern hubs:

Check your flight and travel status with your airline or travel provider before heading to the airport.

Check the latest FCDO travel advice for your destination and any transit points.

If you’re due to transit through airports in the region (such as Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi), please contact us to discuss your options. Changes, rerouting, or cancellations may apply.

Flights and travel impact

Airspace restrictions in parts of the region continue to affect some flight schedules. If your holiday to the UAE, Qatar or surrounding areas was due to depart on or before 08 March 2026, our pre-travel team will be in touch to discuss your options. This may include rebooking options or alternative arrangements.
