Santa Lucia Hotel

  • Minori, Amalfi Coast
  • 5 Nights - Bed & Breakfast

If you prefer to stay at smaller, more authentic hotels when you’re on holiday, you’ll hit the jackpot with this hotel. It’s a traditional family-run property where you’ll be welcomed with friendly Italian hospitality and plenty of good food.

The hotel’s just a stone’s throw from Minori Beach, where you can paddle in the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The small seafront town of Minori has plenty more to offer, too – it was a popular summer holiday spot for the upper class during the Ancient Roman times. While you’re there, be sure to visit the impressive Villa Marittima Romana, and the town’s collection of excellent restaurants and gelaterias.

Back at the hotel itself, you’ll find a comfortable lounge area where you can chill out with a good book, watch TV or play board games. There’s also a bar, where the hotel owners mix up taste-bud tingling cocktails. When it comes to mealtimes, the hotel’s restaurant is the place to be. There’s a Continental buffet for breakfast, while dinner takes the traditional Italian route. Expect the likes of fresh pasta and seafood. If you fancy it, you can eat outside on the al fresco balcony terrace.

Accommodation takes the form of double rooms decorated in the traditional Italian style – think cool tiled floors, wooden furniture and a private balcony or terrace with wrought-iron railings. You’ll also have a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, as well as air conditioning.
