Sensatori Resort Tenerife has lavish good looks. Cue cutting-edge furniture from the likes of Italian heavyweight, Fendi, oversized fountains that light up come nightfall, and daybeds that provide the perfect lounging spots.

The pool scene here is worth writing home about. There are five in total, with extras like Bali beds, whirlpool baths and a pirate ship for kids. The restaurant line-up is equally impressive, with everything from a sushi bar to an Italian-style trattoria.

POOL

The main pool here measures up at a massive 260 metres. Filled with saltwater and accessorised with in-water sunbeds, whirlpools and jets, it merges into an infinity pool with standout sunset views.

As well as the main pool, there are four other pools, including a splash pool, a family pool, and a quieter, adults-only one surrounded by lawns and Balinese beds.

FOOD & DRINK

The ultra-modern Pangea restaurant offers a global buffet, featuring everything from seafood and pasta to cakes and a chocolate fountain. The Oasis Pool Grille has a similarly laid-back vibe, and specialises in Mediterranean favourites.

The Oasis Pool Grille does a great line of meat and fish dishes, and in winter has a hot stone menu*. Club Ocean, meanwhile, serves Italian favourites in an elegant setting.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

The Sports Hub is the place to head for spinning, archery, football and paddle tennis. As for activities, you can look forward to the likes of sushi making, cocktail mixing and wine tasting.

HEALTH & BEAUTY

The Spa by Clarins* features all the usual suspects – like a pool and steam room – as well as out-of-the-ordinary touches like a floatarium. Treatments range from Indian pressure point facials to diamond dust massages. Next to the spa, you’ll find a state-of-the-art fitness centre available 24-hours a day.

ENTERTAINMENT

West End-style shows, tribute acts and classical musicians all make appearances on the entertainment programme. Children get their own show, too – Play House Live! A handful of bars* offer laid-back evenings. Some are set around the Plaza Atlantica, where the mood-lit fountains dance in time to music.
