Experience a fascinating holiday to South Africa, one of the most strikingly beautiful countries to be found on the face of the Earth. Begin with 2 nights in spectacular Cape Town, then enjoy 5 nights exploring the Wildlife, Wine and Garden Route, before heading back to Cape Town, your base for the final 3 nights of this trip, with a stay at the famous V&A Waterfront.

Day 1: Fly to Cape Town.

Days 2-3 Cape Town: Transferred to your hotel. 2 nights at leisure. Pre-bookable excursions available.

Day 4 Oudtshoorn: Depart and travel through the 'Little Karoo' and Montagu, a picturesque and historic spa town. En route, stop off in the town of Barrydale, with an opportunity to visit a local farm school, interact with the children and teachers, spending time with them in the classroom learning more about the local farming community, before continuing to Oudtshoorn, the 'ostrich feather capital'. (The school visit is subject to it being open).

Overnight : La Plume Guesthouse

Day 5 Knysna: Morning, a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves. Return to Oudtshoorn for a tour and light lunch at an ostrich farm and continue to the scenic Outeniqua Pass to George and onto Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa.

Overnight: Rex Hotel

Day 6 Knysna: Enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you can take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7 Albertinia: Travel via George and Mossel Bay to Albertinia, a town set against the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg Mountain Range. Enjoy an afternoon open vehicle game drive, at a malaria-free private game reserve, that is home to an abundance of animal and birdlife, including the 'big 5'.

Overnight: Garden Route Game Lodge

Day 8 Hermanus: Morning safari game drive before departing for the picturesque Cape Dutch town of Swellendam and continue to the seaside resort of Hermanus, known as the heart of the whale route, offering the best land-based whale watching (from August to November) in the world.

Overnight: Misty Waves Hotel, sea facing room

Days 9-11 Cape Town: Leisurely departure travelling to Franschhoek, a picturesque village surrounded by spectacular vineyards. Enjoy a tour through Franschhoek village. Return to Cape Town. Your base for the next 3 nights is at the famous V&A Waterfront.

Overnight: Waterfront Village

Day 12 Depart: Fly back home.
