The Holiday Inn Resort is surrounded by tropical gardens and opens out on to a 2-kilometre stretch of white-sand beach. The sea water is clear and shallow, plus there’s a private island you can walk across to.
There are 2 pools overlooking the beach – the main one has a long lane for swimming, as well as a big open area. Then there’s the adults-only pool with a whirlpool and swim-up bar.
The main buffet restaurant is by the pool. It’s got a special corner for kids, as well as a pizza bar that delivers a changing menu of toppings. The 4 à la cartes include a Jamaican restaurant that serves Caribbean favourites overlooking the sea. There’s also a seafood restaurant, a Japanese*, and an Italian that does a great steak.
The PADI diving school* gives you the chance to explore the surrounding marine life. Or you can have a go at snorkelling, kayaking, and deep-sea fishing*. There’s also beach volleyball and basketball.
