Built into the rock face is the Hotel Castell, offering spectacular views of the village rooftops of Limone and all the way across the water to the far shores of Lake Garda.

The colourful façade of the hotel complements the other colourful buildings that sit below it, adding to the cheerful nature of the village. The hotel itself is simple, and the rooms are cosy, but that doesn’t matter when every room has a balcony that allows you to enjoy the stunning scenery over and over and over again.

It’s pretty easy to get down into Limone too, via stairs from the hotel itself. Within minutes of reaching the bottom of the stairs, you’ll be at the harbour for a boat trip to another part of the lake, or in the centre of Limone for shopping or an aperitivo.

If you don’t feel like doing much, you can relax by Castell’s swimming pool which, again, offers stunning views you could admire all day long.

One unique aspect about the Castell though, is the interesting exposure of mountain rock which is part of the architecture of the building. You can see for yourself while enjoying a drink by the pool.

When you add all the above to ample and varied breakfast buffets, alongside friendly service, it’s quite hard to find a reason not to spend your Lake Garda holiday at the Hotel Castell.

We don't recommend Limone for the less mobile as there are lots of hills and steps. There are 105 steps from the Hotel Castell to the centre of the town.
