Hotel Pernera Beach is in a sandy cove so you’re just steps away from the beach, and there’s a mini-selection of bars and restaurants a few minutes’ walk away. For more sand and added nightlife, Protaras is a 5-minute taxi ride.

The pool scene includes a main pool, an adults-only number, and one for kids. There's also a snack bar. On the subject of food, there’s a buffet restaurant and a smart à la carte place right on the sand. Evening entertainment ranges from quizzes to tribute acts.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

The buffet restaurant has an al fresco terrace with a panoramic view of the beach and sea. It puts on a good spread and holds regular themed nights that take in Cypriot, Italian, Mexican and French cuisine.

There’s an à la carte place where you can dine right on the beach. Ambience-wise, it’s all soft lighting and gentle lounge music. The menu majors in hot-stone dishes, with particular emphasis on seafood. And there's a new Asian restaurant to try out, too.
