The Atlantica Golden Beach draws guests back year after year, thanks to its beachfront location and great dining scene. This designed-for-adults hotel is hidden among banana trees in a peaceful area, around 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Paphos. It’s by a pebbly beach, so sea views come as standard throughout the grounds. The focal point here is the pool – a lagoon-like number with a beach-style, sloped entry. There’s a poolside bar, too where staff will bring your cocktails right to your sunbed. You’ll also find a small pool indoors, which is heated over the winter. The hotel’s buffet restaurant lines up Cypriot dishes and home-from-home favourites, like roast dinners. You can dine al fresco on the pool-view terrace and can choose from a four-course menu in the à la carte restaurant. In the summer, a beachside taverna serves up a lunch selection. The Wellness Centre* offers a choice of massages, hydrotherapy treatments and body wraps. There’s also a hair and beauty salon*. Work out in the hotel’s gym, or relax in the sauna*. Daytime activities range from yoga to tennis, and in the evening expect the likes of bingo, quizzes, and live music.
