MORNING VISIT TO JOHORE BAHRU MALAYSIA

Cross the causeway linking Singapore to Malaysia and once across the border visit the city of Johore Bahru which is the largest city south of Kuala Lumpur. Visit the Royal Abu Bakar Mosque before driving along Lido Beach towards Craft Town to observe batik painting for wall pictures and sarongs. This is followed by a visit to a Malay Cemetery and the exterior of the Royal Mausoleum to learn about the Muslim traditions of burial. Proceed with a drive through the City centre before making our way back across the causeway to Singapore. Please check if you need a visa for entry into Malaysia and re-entry into Singapore. WALKING TOUR - RED CLOGS DOWN THE FIVE FOOT WAY (WEDNESDAYS ONLY)

Visit the Thian Hock Kheng Temple and the slippery wet market to check out paper cars, houses, 'handphones', and even lingerie - all part of an ancient Chinese funeral ritual. Learn about the Yins and Yangs of Chinese traditional medicine and discover where to get those ready-made clogs and that steaming hot bun! Walk departs from Telok Ayer MRT station outside Exit A (Cross Street) and ends at Pagoda Street, close to Chinatown MRT station. Transport to/from the start/end of the walk not included.
