See the very best that the world’s second-largest country has to offer in this ‘Best of Canada’ itinerary. An unforgettable holiday that also includes a trip through the Rockies on the Rocky Mountaineer, the ideal way to experience this country’s stunning scenery.

Itinerary

Day 1 Fly UK to Calgary
Fly from your preferred UK airport to Calgary. On arrival, transfer (included) to your Banff Hotel for a 3 night stay

Day 2 Explore Banff Tour with Gondola & Lake Cruise
Duration aprrox: 6 hours and 30 minutes to 7 hours and 30 minutes Learn about culture, geology and wildlife while exploring the spectacular sights of the renowned mountain town of Banff. This sightseeing tour will take you to some of the most incredible sights and sounds that western Canada has to offer. Head up the Banff Gondola to the peak of Sulphur Mountain for a 360 degree panorama of the Bow Valley. Complete the day with a historical tour of Lake Minnewanka on the Lake Minnewanka Cruise. You will visit points such as: - Bow Falls - Sulphur Mountain - Tunnel Mountain Drive - Surprise Corner - Hoodoos - Two Jack Viewpoint - Lake Minnewanka Cruise (admission included) - Banff Gondola (admission included) - Dedicated on-board host - Light snacks & refreshments included - Light lunch included in tour Note: - When Lake Minnewanka is unavailable due to ice on the lake, additional programming will be provided. - Stops listed in the itinerary may be substituted based on the driver's discretion. Some stops may be unavailable due to seasonality, weather conditions or traffic delays. Alternatively we can swap this trip to a Mountains, Lakes & Waterfalls Tour.  

Day 3 Banff
Day at leisure to enjoy Banff National Park. Alternatively speak to one of our Canada Experts who will be happy to recommend excursions for you.  

Day 4 Banff to Jasper including Ice Explorer Ride
Discover Canada’s most scenic mountain roadway; The Icefields Parkway. This is the route to over one hundred visible glaciers, turquoise lakes, and rushing waterfalls. Venture onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier in a specially designed Ice Explorer for a spectacular Ice Age adventure. Experience Jasper National Park’s newest attraction, the Glacier Skywalk. Step out onto a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres out over the Sunwapta Valley for an unobstructed view of the surrounding glaciers. Highlights: Lake Louise, Icefields Parkway, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Columbia Icefield, Athabasca Falls, Glacier Adventure and Skywalk admission and hot buffet lunch at Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre. Glacier Skywalk admission weather dependent.

Day 5 Jasper
Day at leisure in Jasper before your evening Discover Jasper & its Wildlife tour. As you travel through Jasper and the surrounding area in one of our comfortable sightseeing vehicles, not only will you be amazed at some of the beautiful scenery on this journey, you will also learn about the ways the wildlife in the area contribute to the rich diversity of the National Park. Our knowledgeable guides are trained to seek out all of the park's most iconic creatures. Big or small, Jasper National Park provides a great opportunity to view animals in their natural habitat. Have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos of the highlights of this informative and entertaining "Discovery Tour". The Wildlife Discovery Tour is a driving tour with minimal walking. Photos of wildlife are usually taken from the inside the vehicle or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals. While the natural habitat around Jasper is conducive to animal sightings, animal viewing is not guaranteed and depends largely on the season, the time of day, and the weather. During the day we highlighly recommend adding on the Jasper Tramway or the Maligne Lake & Guided walk tour.  

Day 6 Jasper to Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer
All aboard! Today you join The Rocky Mountaineer for a classic rail journey through the Rockies! Travel on-board the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops - hotel provided and selected by Rocky Mountaineer. Breakfast and Lunch included.

Day 7 Kamloops to Vancouver - Rocky Mountaineer
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. Day 8 Vancouver
Time at leisure in Vancouver. Take the hop on/off city tour and explore at your own pace. Visit Gastown and Chinatown, stop off at Granville Island for a spot of lunch, take a walk round the magnificent Stanley Park......

Day 9 Victoria & Butchart Gardens
View the spectacular British Columbia coastline by land and ship, followed by a stop at Butchart Gardens en route to the British inspired city of Victoria. Board a BC Ferries vessel at Tsawwassen terminal for a 90-minute sail through the serene beauty of the Gulf Islands. Marine wildlife sightings from the outdoor ship decks are common, especially eagles, sea lions and whales. Arrive on Vancouver Island and continue to the Butchart Gardens. The city of Victoria boasts many impressive architectural wonders, including the iconic Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Visit the unique shops and cafes of Government Street and Chinatown. Stroll along the Inner Harbour for prime ocean views, and enjoy some free time to take in the city. Return on the bus to Vancouver by ferry to conclude this diverse tour. Highlights: - A 90 minute cruise through the spectacular Gulf Islands - The world famous Butchart Gardens - Victoria’s Inner Harbour - Empress Hotel and Legislative Buildings - Chinatown, Downtown

Day 10 Fly Vancouver to Toronto
Check out of your Vancouver hotel and transfer to Vancouver airport for your flight to Toronto.   On arrival, transfer to your Toronto hotel for a 3 night stay (transfer not included) 

Day 11 Toronto
Day at leisure in Toronto Take time out to visit the CN Tower (admission included).

Day 12 Niagara Falls Tour
Duration: 10.5 hours Travel on our air-conditioned motor coach for a breathtaking, full-day tour through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Tour includes: - Free time in Niagara Falls - 3-course lunch overlooking Niagara Falls - Hornblower Cruise or Journey Behind the Falls* - Winery tour including a wine tasting (19 years and older) *Hornblower Cruise operates May through October, weather permitting. Journey Behind the Falls will be substituted from October to May. Note: The itinerary may vary in the winter months depending on opening hours of wineries and attractions, and the lunch will either be buffet style or a plated 3-course menu. Note: Children will be provided with non-alcoholic beverages as a substitute.

Day 13 Fly Toronto to UK
Check out of your hotel and make your way to Toronto Airport.(Transfer not included)
