Tucked in a tranquil horseshoe bay, the Hotel Taurito Princess is just steps from a sandy beach. All the rooms have views out over the ocean, and the junior suites received a makeover in 2013. Another big plus is the pool scene – there are two big pools here.

Meals come courtesy of the buffet restaurant, and there’s live entertainment every night of the week – everything from magicians to flamenco dancers. There’s a bar that’s good for cocktails, as well. When you're not staying put, the hotel lays on a free bus that'll get you to Puerto Mogan in 5 minutes.

2 outdoor pools - These two outdoor pool both come with sun terraces aligned with sunbeds and parasols. Towels are available at a charge. One pool is heated from November to April.

Children's pool - The children get their own separate pool with sunbeds and parasols for the adults to supervise the little ones.

Buffet restaurant - Opening Times: [08.00-10.30, 18.30-21.30. Serves breakfast and dinner. There are themed evenings where there'll be dishes from different countries on offer.

La Choza snack bar - Opening Times: [10.30-18.00, 12.00-16.00, 19.30-20.00]. Offers lunch and a gala dinner night is held once a week. La Trattoria Italian section is open Wednesday to Friday 19.30-20.00.

Lounge bar - Opening Times: [20.00-24.00]. Head to the lounge bar for discos, live music, competitions and professional shows, you'll be kept entertained well into the night.

Cocoloco pool bar - Opening Times: [10.00-18.00]You'll be able to order locally produced alcoholic and soft drinks at the pool bar.

Piano bar - Opening Times: [17.00-24.00]. There's live music at the piano bar every night.
